Carmichael

Carmichael Canine Corral off-leash dog park is located at 5150  Grant Avenue, Carmichael, CA. (Carmichael Recreation and Park District)

Citrus Heights

C-Bar-C Park on Oak Ave. Nice two acre area that's well tended. POOCH is the active user group here. (Sunrise Recreation and Park District)

Elk Grove/Laguna

Elk Grove Park  Elk Grove's second dog park is located at 9950 Elk Grove-Florin Road. The dog park is located on the west side of the lake and Strauss Island along East Stockton Boulevard. (Cosumnes Community Services District)

Laguna Community Park  Elk Grove's first dog park is now open It's at the southwest corner of Big Horn and Bruceville Road. It's so small don't blink or you won't see it (:>). The majority of the park is soccer fields and ball diamond and there is also a skate park. The dog park is set off to the far west end. (Cosumnes Community Services District)

Fair Oaks

Phoenix Park  2 acres located at 9050 Sunset Avenue. The dog park is supported by community group Fair Oaks Responsible Dog Owners Group (FORDOG), an active volunteer organization. Rio Linda-Elverta

Bannon Creek Park  Located in Bannon Creek Park on Bannon Creek Drive off of Azevedo Drive (near West El Camino). Park is .6 acres (that's point six, just over 1/2 acre). Amenities include benches, dog drinking fountain/faucet and dog waste bag dispensers. To report damage or an incident affecting the use of this facility, please call Park Safety Services at (916) 277-6093 or the City Operator at 264-5011. Granite Regional Park  This 2-acre fenced area within Granite Regional Park is located on Ramona Avenue off of Power Inn Road. Amenities include water and waste bags. Howe About Dogs Park  This fenced area within Howe Park was established in 1994 by Joan Guertin (founder of Common Sense Dog Training) and the Fulton-El Camino Recreation & Park District (Sacramento County). It is located in Howe Park at the corners of Howe and Cottage. (Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District)

Partner Park  This 2-acre off-leash area—named for a canine officer killed in the line of duty—is located within Cooledge Park at the corners of Fruitridge Road and Land Park Drive in Land Park. Park hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and amenities are water, benches, and waste bags. Regency Dog Park Located in Regency Community Park, 5500 Honor Pkwy, North Natomas. A 2-acre dog park with a drinking fountain for dogs, turf and decomposed granite areas, trees, dog waste bag dispensers and benches for dog owners. (City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation)

Sierra School Park  Although this is called Sierra School Park, there isn't a school at this location any more. The building itself is now called Sierra 2 Center for the Arts & the Community and is located at 2791 24th Street. Their number is 452-3005. The area behind the center is devoted to off-leash recreation in the mornings and in the evenings, if there isn't a soccer game going on. Call for details.

Tanzanite Dog Park Located in Tanzanite Community Park, 2220 Tanzanite Way. This 2-acre dog park includes a drinking fountain for dogs, turf and native grass areas, trees, dog waste bag dispensers and benches for dog owners. Note: this dog park was renovated in June, 2007. Davis, Yolo County

FENCED OFF-LEASH AREAS

Toad Hollow Dog Park  Located at 1919 2nd St, this City of Davis off-leash park is 2-1/2 acres. For further information on this dog park, or other off-leash areas, please contact the Parks and Community Services Department at (530) 757-5626.

Aspen Greenbelt Near Glacier Drive and Isle Royal Lane

Pioneer Park 5035 Hamel Street

Slide Hill Park 1525 Tulip Lane (near the south end of the park)

Sycamore Park 1313 Sycamore Lane

Walnut Park 2700 Lillard Drive (south of the tennis courts)

El Cerrito, Contra Costa County

A multi-use and off-leash area since 1987, Point Isabel is maintained by the East Bay Regional Park District, with help from Point Isabel Dog Owners and Friends (PIDO). This park boasts a million (human) visitors a year! It's no wonder because this is a truly wonderful place to take yourself and your dog(s). To get there: Take I-80 to El Cerrito. Take Central Avenue west and turn right on Isabel Street. Continue to the Point Isabel parking lot. Please see the East Bay Regional Parks District website for additional information about Point Isabel. And after your walk, be sure to visit Mudpuppy's Tub & Scrub and Sit & Stay Café.

Roseville, Placer County

The City of Roseville's Marco Dog Park was established in June, 1997 through the joint efforts of the City Parks & Recreation Department and Roseville Dog Owners Group.

Marco Dog Park is located on Sierra Gardens Drive, just north of Douglas Boulevard. Park hours are from dawn until dusk everyday except Wednesdays, when the park is closed until 3:30 pm for maintenance.

Also Note: The park is closed in the winter, from about Thanksgiving until Memorial Day.

West Sacramento, Yolo County

Sam Combs Park at 205 Stone Blvd (corner of Jefferson and Stone). Sam Combs Park is an established park with lots of shade trees. Fencing and other doggie amenities will be available in February 2006. (West Sacramento Parks and Recreation)
