had the good fortune of working the human half of an animal-assisted
therapy team for close to seven years with a wonderful basenji named
Jake. Though I didn't enjoy every minute of it and Jake probably didn't either—it
is hard work—I will say that learning the value of AAT was
life-changing for me. If I had another basenji that could do the
work, I'd sign up again in a heartbeat!

temperament like Jake, and is well trained, or could be well
